Message from the Founder
I often wish that I had access to a program like Foundation for the Future when I was a teen. I know what it is to feel out of place, awkward, and confused about entering adolescence and womanhood. Having a place where you are encouraged to explore your passions and develop a healthy self esteem is important at any time in your life, but somehow particularly vital as a teenager, and still (yes, still) especially vital for women.
Here at Foundation for the Future, we are all about giving young girls and women the freedom, support and tools to stand up for what they believe in and champion their own causes for change. Some of our girls may go on to become the next heads of state, noble prize laureates, and community leaders but all will have acquired a valuable set of skills to help them no matter what they decide to do in their lives.
Foundation for the Future is for young women, but it is also for our community. The young women who participate in our programs become positive leaders of social change in their local communities; each one leaving a social footprint that is positive and powerful. It is exciting to see these young women develop confidence, character, and commitment to a cause they believe in. Each girl I meet challenges and inspires me in some way. They truly are the foundation for the future of our world becoming a positive place.
Warmly,
Brittany King Founder and Chief Executive Officer
